How to Sleep better..... there is a Sleeping Better Test - There are several tell-tale signs of impaired or poor Sleep. A few simple Sleep Diagnostic test questions will reveal your need for some help.

Sleep disorders, defined as any disorder that affects, disrupts, or involves sleep. The most common sleep disorder is probably snoring, although it is usually not medically significant. Insomnia, sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, and sleepwalking are also sleep disorders. Most large medical centers have diagnostic and treatment facilities dedicated to sleep disorders and sleep apnea, sleepwalking, snoring.

Everyone has trouble sleeping at times. But loud snoring, tossing/turning, frequent waking through the night, daytime sleepiness and fatigue may be due to a serious sleep disorder.

A Sleep Test, or polysomnogram, can be scheduled for daytime or for nighttime testing. These tests provide doctors with information to help diagnose and treat sleep disorders. Using computerized instrumentation, a technologist registered in sleep medicine and/or respiratory therapy monitors your brain wave activity, breathing patterns, oxygen levels, heart activity and body movements while you sleep. A physician with specialized training and experience in Sleep medicine should always interpret the results of the exam and your Sleep testing and will provide your personal physician with a complete report. A plan for customized treatment will be made as appropriate to your disorder.
